Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by POLAND-BUSINESS SP. Z O.O. ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service and How It Is Delivered

Volt provides remote macOS workstations running on Apple Silicon, and a task workspace in which work can be assigned to an executor. Everything is paid for with credits bought in advance; nothing renews or is charged automatically.

2.1 Workstations

• You launch a workstation from your dashboard by choosing a daily, weekly or monthly plan. The plan’s credits are deducted from your balance when you launch it.
• A dedicated Mac is then provisioned for you through our compute supplier; the hardware is not our own. It appears in the Devices section of your dashboard with its remote-desktop connection ID, its plan and its expiry date. You connect to it over the internet with a remote-desktop application.
• If automatic provisioning fails, the credits stay charged, the order is shown as pending, and our team provisions the workstation manually. You receive a notification in your dashboard when it is ready.
• The workstation stays assigned to you until the expiry date shown for it, unless you cancel the plan earlier from the workstation page.

2.2 Tasks for executors

• You describe a task inside one of your projects. The platform suggests an executor and an estimate, and the task is sent to the assigned executor, who can accept it, ask for different terms, or decline.
• The agreed budget is deducted in credits only when the executor accepts. All communication about the task, and the hand-over of the work, takes place in the chat attached to that task on the platform. The task status (in progress, in review, done) is shown on the task.
• At present the executor directory contains demonstration profiles only. Hiring from it is switched off and no credits can be charged for it until real executors are listed.

3. Account Registration

To use our services, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You may open and use an account for yourself or for a company or other organisation. When you use it for an organisation, that organisation is the customer under these terms and is responsible for the account and everything bought through it, and you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.

Rights that the law gives only to consumers, such as the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase, apply to an individual buying for personal use and not to an organisation buying for its business. Everything our policies promise, including the refund of unused credits, applies to every customer alike.

4. Payment Terms

All purchases are one-time transactions. Credits purchased do not expire. Refunds are available for unused credits within 14 days of purchase, subject to our Refund Policy. We accept Visa and Mastercard only. All payments are processed securely with industry-standard encryption.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services for:

• Any illegal activities or violation of applicable laws
• Cryptocurrency mining (strictly prohibited, results in immediate termination)
• Distribution of malware, viruses, or harmful software
• Violation of intellectual property rights
• Any activity that could harm our infrastructure or other users

6. Data Security

All traffic to Volt is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). At rest, we encrypt the secrets that would let someone act as you — stored credentials and device passwords. Other account data is held in our managed database with the protection that provider applies, not additionally encrypted by us. A rented Mac is wiped when its rental ends.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced in your dashboard and on our status page. We do not send maintenance email, so check there rather than your inbox.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, POLAND-BUSINESS SP. Z O.O. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes are posted here and announced in your dashboard at least 30 days before taking effect; we do not currently send policy email, so that notice is where to look. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

10. Eligibility and Restrictions

You must be at least 18 years of age to use our services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

New sign-ups are not accepted from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba. We refuse a new account when the sign-up comes from an IP address in one of these six countries or uses an email address on their national domains, and we refuse card payments whose billing country is one of them. Existing account holders keep access to their account and credits. Credits are priced in euro and can be paid in any of the currencies listed in section 7 of our Payment Policy, several of which are for countries outside Europe and North America.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the services complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. Services may not be available in jurisdictions where they would be prohibited by law.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to our services in any region or for any user where the law, sanctions or export control regulations require it.

11. Governing Law and Disclaimers

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Warsaw, Poland.

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
